Fire Breaks Out in Seoul’s Guryong Village, 800 Responders on Scene

On Friday morning, a fire broke out in Seoul's Guryong village, destroying around 60 makeshift homes. 800 firefighters, police officers and public workers responded and were able to extinguish the flames within five hours, with no injuries or deaths reported. Images of the aftermath show firefighters and rescue workers cleaning up the site and the charred remains of the makeshift homes, with the cause of the fire still under investigation.

Colombian Navy, Maritime Authority, and Panamanian National Air and Navy Service Successfully Rescue Stranded Sailor in Caribbean Sea

After 24 days adrift in the Caribbean Sea, the Colombian Navy, Maritime Authority, and Panamanian National Air and Navy Service rescued a stranded sailor, Elvis Francois. Francois had been working on his boat in St. Maarten when a storm blew him off course and he became lost. He was eventually spotted by a merchant ship with the word “HELP” spelled out on the boat’s hull, and the Colombian Navy responded to the call for help. Francois was examined by a navy member on board the merchant ship CMA CGM Voltario at the port of [...] and is now safe.

Thousands Gather in Peru’s Capital City of Lima to Demand Ouster of President Boluarte Amidst Deadly Unrest

Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets of Lima, Peru, to demand the ouster of President Dina Boluarte and the return of former President Pedro Castillo, who was removed last month. The situation remains tense as the protesters continue to call for Boluarte’s ouster and the return of Castillo to power.
