Peru holds a tightly contested presidential runoff between Keiko Fujimori and Roberto Sánchez, with polls showing the race narrowing in the final week. The winner would become the country’s 10th president in a decade.

Israeli strikes kill Lebanese soldiers after ceasefire push

Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon killed nine people Saturday, including three Lebanese soldiers, after a U.S.-brokered ceasefire push. Israel said one targeted vehicle was moving suspiciously in a combat zone and that the incident is under review.
