Dallas Zoo Investigates “Unusual” Death of Endangered Vulture, Increases Security Measures

The Dallas Zoo is investigating the death of an endangered vulture, which is the latest in a string of incidents involving animals and enclosures. Gregg Hudson, President and CEO of the zoo, revealed that the vulture was found dead with an intentional injury and the zoo is increasing security camera coverage and working with the Dallas Police Department to increase security. They are also offering a reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the responsible person or persons.

Search for Second Hiker on Mount Baldy Continues as Actor Julian Sands Remains Missing

Search and rescue personnel in California are searching for two hikers on Mount Baldy: actor Julian Sands, who went missing on Jan. 13, and 75-year-old Los Angeles man Jin Chung, who failed to return from a hike on Sunday. Helicopters and drones with infrared devices have been used to try to find Sands, but high winds have prevented aircraft from being used Monday. Anyone with information about either Sands or Chung is asked to call the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Riley Clark, the 23-year-old daughter of U.S. Rep. Katherine Clark of Massachusetts, was arrested during a protest in downtown Boston on Saturday night and charged with assault after a police officer was injured. The Boston Police Department said she was observed defacing a monument with spray paint and a group of protesters surrounded officers while screaming profanities. Rep. Clark tweeted about her daughter's arrest, and Riley is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.

Brandon Tsay Hailed as Hero for Stopping Mass Shooting in Monterey Park, California

Brandon Tsay, the owner of the Lai Lai Ballroom & Studio in Alhambra, was hosting a social dance party when he saw a man walk in with a gun. Tsay lunged at the man, not knowing that he had already killed 10 people and wounded 10 others. Tsay was able to successfully wrestle away the weapon and prevent any further casualties, and is being celebrated as a hero for his brave actions.
