Washington court has unsealed search warrant documents related to the investigation of Bryan Kohberger, the 28-year-old accused of killing four University of Idaho students. The documents revealed the items seized from Kohberger's apartment, including a stained mattress cover, a computer tower, and a pillow with a "reddish/brown stain". Kohberger faces four counts of first-degree murder and the investigation is ongoing.

Derek Chauvin's attorney argued in an appeals court that his client was deprived of a fair trial due to legal and procedural errors. A Georgia state trooper was shot and wounded near the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center, a controversial future law enforcement training site, during a clearing operation conducted by the GBI and other law enforcement agencies. An individual allegedly shot at law enforcement without warning, and was killed by police return fire. The wounded trooper was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and the proposed $90 million center is on hold pending the outcome of the investigation.
Brian Walshe, 47, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of murder and disinterring a body without authority in connection with the disappearance of his wife, Ana Walshe, on New Year's Day. Prosecutor Lynn Beland said Walshe used his son's iPad to search for ways to dismember and dispose of a body, and clothes and other items belonging to Ana Walshe with her DNA were found at a trash processing facility. Walshe was ordered held without bail and is due back in court on May 19.
A 13-year-old girl led Nebraska troopers on a high-speed chase that lasted nearly 20 minutes on Monday night. The chase began when a trooper spotted the vehicle driving at 35 mph and the driver allegedly accelerated to speeds of over 100 mph. The two children in the vehicle were eventually taken into protective custody, and the incident is still under investigation.
Brian Walshe, 47, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of murder and assault in the disappearance of his wife, Ana Walshe, 39. Prosecutors presented evidence of more than a dozen disturbing Google searches made by Walshe in the minutes before he told police he last saw his wife.
