The University of Idaho has announced that the house where four college students were murdered in November will be demolished, given to the school by the owner. Scott Green, the university’s president, said in a statement that the demolition of the house is a “healing step” and the university is planning to hold a memorial service for the victims in the coming weeks. The university has not yet announced what will be done with the property once the house is demolished.

Alex Murdaugh, a disgraced former lawyer, is on trial for two counts of murder and two weapons charges in South Carolina. During cross-examination, prosecutors are focusing on the financial crimes the state alleges drove Murdaugh to murder. Murdaugh has pleaded not guilty and continues to deny any role in the killings. The trial is expected to continue into next week.
On Wednesday afternoon, a gunman opened fire near Pine Hills, Florida, killing a 9-year-old and wounding her mother, as well as two journalists from Spectrum News 13. Dylan Lyons, a reporter, died from his injuries, while photographer Jesse Walden was wounded and is being treated in hospital. A memorial has been set up for Lyons and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
Seven people, including a 2-year-old girl and her mother, were wounded in a shooting outside the James G. Blaine School in Philadelphia's Strawberry Mansion neighborhood on Thursday evening. Six victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, and police are currently searching for three male suspects and a grey Hyundai Elantra. Former Member of Armed Forces Arrested in Connection with 2001 Murder of Pregnant Soldier in Germany
Shannon Wilkerson, a former member of the armed forces, was arrested Thursday in Florida in connection with the murder of Pfc. Amanda Gonzales, a pregnant soldier stationed in Germany in 2001. Gonzales was found dead in her barracks room after failing to report for work, and Wilkerson is being held in Florida awaiting extradition to Germany. The FBI is asking anyone with information about the case to contact their local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.
19-year-old Keith Melvin Moses, a known gang member, has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of three people in Orange County, Florida. The bodycam video of the arrest shows an officer driving up to Moses and getting what looks like a gun out of the suspect's pocket. According to officials, Moses had a lengthy rap sheet and the first woman, the TV reporter and the 9-year-old died as a result of the shootings. Orange County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the incident and have not released any further information.
