Marc Muffley, 40, of Lansford, Pennsylvania was arrested Monday night after an explosive device was found in his suitcase at Lehigh Valley International Airport. The device was described as a circular compound wrapped in wax paper and plastic wrap, prompting the immediate evacuation of the area. Muffley is charged with attempting to bring an explosive onto an Orlando-bound flight, and the FBI and TSA are continuing to investigate the incident.

British police have discovered the remains of a 2-month-old baby in a wooded area near where Constance Marten and Mark Gordon were arrested earlier this week. Detective Superintendent Lewis Basford of the Met's East Area Command said a post-mortem examination will be held to determine the cause of death. Marten and Gordon had been on the run since early January, using large amounts of cash to stay off the grid and were arrested after police became concerned for the welfare of their child.
The California Board of Parole Hearings has denied parole to Robert F. Kennedy assassin Sirhan Sirhan, citing his lack of insight into the 1968 shooting. Sirhan, now 78, has been denied parole 15 times since 1985, and his lawyer argued that he has shown awareness of his actions and is unlikely to re-offend. His next parole hearing is scheduled for 2023, when he will be 83 years old.
Alex Murdaugh, a former South Carolina attorney, is on trial for the murder of his family in 2021. University of Georgia star defensive lineman Jalen Carter has been arrested in connection with a fatal car crash that left two people dead in January. The investigation found that Carter was racing in a 2021 Jeep Trackhawk, while Chandler LeCroy, a 24-year-old recruiting analyst for the Bulldogs football team, was operating a 2021 Ford Expedition when it left the roadway and struck two power poles. Elizabeth Holmes, the former CEO of Theranos, is citing the birth of her second child as a reason to delay the start of her 11-year prison sentence. Her lawyers are arguing that the birth of her child should be taken into consideration, while the prosecution is opposing her request, citing the fact that she has the resources to provide for her child while in prison. The judge presiding over the case has yet to make a decision on Holmes’ request.
Pennsylvania State Police have seized a variety of items from the home of Bryan Kohberger, the graduate student charged with the stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students. A buccal swab DNA test was also authorized, and the search warrant return did not specify whom the gloves belonged to. The search of Kohberger's parents' home in Albrightsville was conducted on December 30th, 2020, and Kohberger is currently being held in the Kootenai County Jail in Idaho, facing four counts of first-degree murder and four counts of aggravated battery.
