Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed U.S. Attorney David Weiss as special counsel to oversee the investigation into Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden's son. The Justice Department said Weiss will be responsible for the “ongoing investigation" of Hunter Biden and any other matters that may arise from it. Weiss will remain on as U.S. attorney and continue leading the investigation, though the outcome and timeline remain unclear.

The warrant was for items related to the murder from Duane “Keffe D” Davis, a witness to the crime. The investigation into the rapper's death is ongoing.

The complaint claims that Kellogg's is unlawfully seeking to "balance" its workforce based on race, color, national origin, and sex and is imposing a "woke" ideology on its employees and customers. On August 8 and 9, 2023, a devastating wildfire swept through the historic town of Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii, killing at least 36 people and destroying many historic buildings, including the iconic banyan tree. Fueled by dry grasses and strong winds, exacerbated by Hurricane Dora passing far to the south, the fire is still burning and firefighters and emergency personnel are working to contain the blaze and provide aid to those affected. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
