73-Year-Old Myrtle Brown Found Dead in Creek Near Chicago Suburb Home, Son Sergio Brown Still Missing

On Saturday evening, the body of 73-year-old Myrtle Brown was found in a creek near her home in Maywood, Illinois. Her 35-year-old son, former NFL safety Sergio Brown, is also missing and is being sought by police. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed her death, which is being investigated as a homicide due to injuries consistent with a physical assault. The Maywood Police Department is asking anyone with information to come forward.

Five Juveniles Escape from Abraxas Academy in Pennsylvania, Search Ongoing

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Fatally Shot in Ambush Outside Palmdale Station

On Saturday night, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy was fatally shot in an ambush outside of the Palmdale sheriff's station. Sheriff Robert Luna identified the victim as Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer, 30, and said it appears he was targeted simply because "he was in uniform." The area is currently taped off as authorities investigate the incident and search for the suspect, and anyone with information is asked to contact them.
