American Airlines and the Montgomery Regional Airport have expressed their condolences to the family of a team member who was tragically killed in an accident at the airport yesterday afternoon.
In a statement, American Airlines said it was “devastated by the accident” and expressed its thoughts and prayers to the family and local team members. Wade A. Davis, the airport’s executive director, said, “We are saddened to hear about the tragic loss of a team member of the AA/Piedmont Airlines.”
Normal operations at the airport resumed at 8:30 p.m. last night, and an FAA investigation into the incident is ongoing.
