Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are now parents of four after the arrival of their son Wren Alexander Stephens on Monday, June 19. Teigen shared the news in a heartfelt Instagram post, detailing her unique experience of being pregnant at the same time as her “incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate,” Alexandra.

The couple already had two children, daughter Luna, 7, and son Miles, 5, when they decided to pursue IVF and a surrogate to have two more children. Teigen and Legend reached out to a surrogacy agency and eventually met Alexandra, who gave birth to Wren just five months after Teigen welcomed daughter Esti in January.

Teigen wrote in her post that she was “overcome with emotion” when she met Alexandra and was “so in love” with her. She also shared her gratitude for Alexandra’s “selfless act of carrying our miracle baby.”

The couple’s journey to having four children was not without tragedy. In September 2020, Teigen and Legend lost their son, Jack, at 20 weeks of gestation. Teigen wrote in her post that she and Legend “are feeling so blessed and grateful” to have Wren in their lives.
