Nova Scotia, Canada has experienced an unusually long procession of intense thunderstorms which have caused flash flooding, road washouts, power outages, and four people to go missing. Environment Canada reported that some areas have received more than 300 mm of rain in 24 hours, significantly higher than the 90-100 mm of rain that the port city typically receives during an average July. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are searching for the two adults and two children who remain unaccounted for and are asking for anyone with information to contact them.
