U.S. Department of State Issues Rare ‘Worldwide Caution’ Alert Amid Heightened Potential for Violence in Israel-Hamas War

The U.S. Department of State has issued a worldwide caution alert due to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, recommending that U.S. citizens in Lebanon make plans to depart as soon as possible. The State Department is warning of a heightened potential for violence and is urging U.S. citizens to exercise caution when traveling overseas. The conflict has resulted in the deaths of over 200 people, including at least 58 children.

Two Suspects Arrested in Central California Massacre, Investigation Ongoing

Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux announced the arrest of two suspects in the massacre of six people last month. Noah David Beard, 25, was taken into custody without incident, while Angel “Nanu” Uriarte, 35, was wounded in a shootout with federal agents. Boudreaux said the motive for the shooting is not clear, but the arrests were the result of a collaborative effort between multiple agencies. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact the sheriff’s office.

Disabled Veteran Accuses Rep. George Santos of Stealing Funds for Service Dog’s Life-Saving Surgery

Disabled veteran Richard Osthoff has accused newly-elected Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) of stealing $3,000 meant to pay for life-saving surgery for his service dog. Osthoff has provided evidence that Santos was in contact with him and was aware of the situation, and the case has been referred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for further investigation. Osthoff has started a new GoFundMe page to help cover the costs of Sapphire's surgery, and has raised over $2,000 so far.
