U.S. District Judge Mark Walker, nominated by President Barack Obama, has recused himself from a lawsuit between Walt Disney Co. and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis due to a distant family member's ownership of Disney shares. DeSantis has argued that Walker's statements in unrelated cases raise doubts about his impartiality, and the case will now be heard by another judge. Disney filed the lawsuit in July, accusing DeSantis of violating its constitutional rights by refusing to allow its theme parks to reopen at full capacity.
