Linda Yaccarino Set to Become First Female CEO of Twitter, If Appointed

Linda Yaccarino, the current Chairman of Global Advertising and Partnerships at NBCUniversal, is reportedly in talks to become the new CEO of Twitter. If appointed, she would be the first female CEO of the company and the first executive from outside of the tech industry to lead the company. Yaccarino has a strong relationship with advertisers and marketing groups, which could help quell the ongoing concerns companies have with Twitter following CEO Elon Musk's takeover.

Jeff Shell Leaves NBCUniversal After Investigation Into Alleged Sexual Harassment and Sex Discrimination

Comcast announced the immediate departure of Jeff Shell, the CEO of NBCUniversal, after an investigation into an "inappropriate relationship with a woman in the company." The investigation was sparked by a complaint from CNBC anchor Hadley Gamble, who accused Shell of sexual harassment and sex discrimination. Shell admitted to the relationship, but did not provide any further details. Comcast has yet to specify how Shell violated company policy, and has yet to take steps to ensure similar incidents do not occur in the future.

Jeff Shell, CEO of NBCUniversal since 2013, has left the company "effective immediately" following an investigation into "inappropriate conduct". Shell admitted to having an "inappropriate relationship with a woman in the company" and expressed regret for his actions. Comcast CEO Brian L. Roberts and President Mike Cavanagh said they were "disappointed" to share the news with employees.
