Former President Donald Trump has been indicted on charges related to violations of the Espionage Act and mishandling of classified documents taken from the White House. The charges stem from an incident in January 2021, when Trump was accused of taking classified documents from the White House after he lost reelection.
Tim Parlatore, former attorney of Donald Trump, predicted on NBC News' "Meet the Press" that Trump may not face any charges in the Justice Department's investigation into his handling of classified documents. Parlatore compared the case to the investigation of Hillary Clinton's emails, noting that he was against prosecuting her. He added that there are a lot of additional problems or procedures that have to be gone through with that type of case. This assessment contradicts other legal experts who have said Trump is very likely to face criminal charges.

Donald Trump has dropped a federal lawsuit against New York Attorney General Letitia James after a U.S. District Judge ordered him to pay nearly $1 million for a "completely frivolous" lawsuit against Hillary Clinton. Trump's lawyers filed a notice of voluntary dismissal in the case, marking the end of the legal battle between the two.
