Surveillance footage showed her ex-boyfriend waiting for her when she returned home for her lunch break, and he drove her to a truck stop in LaSalle, Michigan, where he fatally shot her. After confessing to his parents, Wendling drove hundreds of miles away to Iowa, where he killed himself. Bryant's death has been a shock to the community, and her friends and family are mourning her loss.
