Police Resume Search for Madeleine McCann 16 Years After Disappearance in Portugal’s Algarve Region

Portuguese police, aided by German and British officers, resumed their search for Madeleine McCann on Tuesday, 16 years after her disappearance in Portugal's Algarve region. More than a dozen cars and police vans arrived in the area, and a blue base tent was set up. About 20 to 30 officers, some in uniform, were seen in the area by the Arade dam, using rakes and hoe-like tools to poke and rake the soil. A search dingy was also seen navigating in the Arade dam.
