Handyman Arrested for Murder of 82-Year-Old Woman in Washington, Faces Multiple Charges

Jeffrey Zizz, 47, is facing charges of first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping, and unlawful disposal of human remains. Zizz was initially arrested in Missoula, Montana, for violating the terms of a previous sentence related to an unrelated sex offense. The charges in Washington stem from the discovery of the woman’s remains buried beneath a shed that Zizz had constructed.

The victim, Marcia Norman, was reported missing by her family on April 4, three days after she was last heard from. Authorities issued a missing person bulletin, noting that Norman had disappeared under suspicious circumstances. The investigation led detectives to Zizz, who had worked as a handyman for Norman. During a search of Zizz’s home, detectives found a letter detailing a planned burglary and sexual assault, according to the Thurston County sheriff.
